Happy 2018! How did you welcome the new year? I hope you're having a wonderful start. Mine was spending half of the day of the first day of the year in the beach with my family and after that are just few tiring and busy days.
So last December, I attended a youth bootcamp here in the city. And I’m sure other milennials from the bootcamp would agree that Sir Elmer’s speech got us hooked up and motivated us to not give-up on our dreams.
He divided his speech with the golden 3Ds. Dreams, Diligence, and Destiny.
Here he gave us tips on how to achieve your dreams through diligence and get to your rightful destiny.
1. Define your dream: What’s your dream? Ask yourself that important question.
2. Write down your dream: If you’ve already identified your dream, it’s always better to write it down. It’s the first step on making it into reality.
3. Meditate on them: Here, you think about it thoroughly. Spend few minutes to meditate on your dreams, for you to identify how to achieve it.
4. Plan it out: Planning out your dreams is a big step on making your dreams into a reality. It opens out ideas and motivates you focus on your dreams.
D I L I G E N C E
1. Learn what you can: Successful people never stop learning. Learning is an endless process in our life. For example, if you want to be a successful blogger, it’s time to learn about writing contents and choosing right concepts.
2. Find your niche: You got to find your target. Through this, you’ll be able to define yourself, For example, for us bloggers, we got to find our focused concepts for our blog. Mine’s lifestyle, so I got to focus on that, that’s my niche.
3. Know your strength: Know what you’re good at! This is so important because these strengths are the ones going to help you to go up. You got to hold on to this.
4. Find mentors: Don’t be afraid to ask for help. I’m not saying you can’t do it on your own, however other people’s opinion also matter. You just got to approach the right person. Their opinion will help you to the next level.
5. Be proactive: Girl’s scout, always ready! Plan ahead and always be ready.
D E S T I N Y
1. You have a calling: From the moment you defined your dream, your dream is already calling you to achieve it. It’s your destiny to achieve it and through diligence, you will.
2. Embrace the grind: It’s normal to handle few things all at ones, and deal with daily grind like working, planning, and simply dealing with life.. It just shows that you are working for your dreams. You are doing something.
3. Persevere: This is the key! You got to focus and continue on doing something for your dream, this is your destiny. Despite of all difficulties and judgments, this is your dream and you can achieve it, you just need to never give up.

Aww thank you so much, Amita.
DeleteThis is such a great post! I feel like we're often told to reach for our dreams, but aren't told exactly how or reminded that it will also take hard work and dedication. Good reminder!
