Sightseeing at Paradise Island Park and Beach Resort

Island Garden City of Samal, Davao del Norte, Philippines

By the beach, near the sea, what a wonderful place to be.

It's that season of the year where it's mandatory for us to visit the beach every once in a while. Samal Island is the top tourist spot in Davao City, so we thought -- why don't we take a look. We've been planning to visit but we only got the chance the day before our flight back to Zamboanga City. But do you know what? We had fun.

First, we went to the port to Paradise Island. We rode a lansa boat for less than 10 minutes with the fee of P15 per head. As we arrived in the island, we were welcomed by the clear and clean blue sea. For the entrance fee into the resort, it's P200 per head. Upon entering the resort, there's an open restaurant, lots of souvenirs and food shops, and there's an area you wish to stay in for those who bring food which I think is very convenient and considerate.

Guess what we did first in the island? Took photos. I mean, it's a typical routine done by mostly everyone. Then, we roam around the place. The funny thing is, while we were roaming around, I noticed that the signs are written in English and Korean (Hangeul). If you might notice in my previous faves blog post, March Faves and May Faves, I love watching KDramas and because of that, I learned how to read in Korean. So I got excited reading the signs because I felt like I was Korean for a bit, haha. Feelingera.

You get to roam the place for free so it was a pleasure for us to sight the view and what ever it can offer. There's a park for kids to play, a beachsand volleyball court, rooms structured as bahay kubo, and a great green view of nature. There were so many trees, which I thank God for because it was blimmin' hot for sightseeing. Since it was a very sunny day, we decided to take a break at the restaurant and ordered Halo-halo, the perfect food for summer. Even I lost my energy because it was so hot, so I devoured my halo-halo in one sit without distractions for the first time in my life - I don't usually devour a halo-halo because I couldn't. But this time, it was delish!

After the Halo-halo session, my sister and I took photos again by the sea because it's another different view that the restaurant offers. Oh! One thing I loved about Paradise Island besides their amazing views, is their customers service. The crew/waiters are so accommodating and friendly. They are in uniform proper and watches their customers attentively without the customers feeling uncomfortable. I swear, they're doing their job right and they deserve a recognition. I just love good service, it makes the trip even worthier.

Since we still had few errands to run that day, we went back to Davao City early. Over all, I still love my first experience in Paradise Island Park and Beach Resort, and this wouldn't be the last. Plus, it's such a bargain for a super worthy trip. It's sad I didn't get to roam the entire place because of the weather. I suggest you to go there around 3PM 'til sunset. But, I hope I can go back soon so I can share a more informative experience in the resort.

I also went to another beach this summer here in Zamboanga City. Hop on over my post about Dan Mar Beach Resort.

  2. It looks like an incredible place to explore and visit! After reading this post, I miss the sea so much. Being by the sea is probably one of my favourite things. Not tanning or anything but simply being there and observing it :)
